Wild Woman

This painting is an excellent example of trusting the process.

It began with random lines on the canvas that morphed into a number of standing figures.

I love the colour Diarylide yellow and so taking a palette knife and a lot of paint, I created a cruciform shape with that colour. Then I added white and soon the figure of a woman began to emerge.

With much looking and trusting my intuition, I built the painting into what you see here, adding black, white and more yellow paint either with palette knife or brush or dripping or splattering. I also used paper towels and my hands to move the paint about.

I am delighted with the exuberance that vibrates from the figure and painting!
